The information on the majors in the degree programmes, junior college education programmes and One-College-Student-for-One-Village programme, and the number of their students in 2009 are summarised in Table 1, Table 2 and Table 3. The students' information according to different majors is listed in Table 4 and Figure 1. See Figure 2 for the information on open education development from 1999 to 2009. Table 4. Note: (1) The sequence is arranged in line with the number of active students. (2) The 17 majors in the One-College-Student-for-One-Village Programme and the major of CNC Technology (junior college programme) will be combined together with some majors in undergraduate and junior college programmes according to the "Contents for Higher Vocational Education and Junior College (for statistical use)". The list will be given after the combination.
In 2009, a total of 853 students graduated as the "Registered Audio-visual Aided Students" in the junior college programmes in the open universities nationwide - with the majors of Law, Financial Accounting, Marketing, Accounting and Statistical Calculation, Township Management, English, Applied Electronics Technology, Primary Teacher Education (natural sciences, literature, and history). The active students numbered 1,292 (the enrollment of the "Registered Audio-visual Aided Students" in junior college education ceased in 2002). |
