Beijing Open University (OU Beijing) is an adult higher education university under the supervision of Beijing Municipal Education Commission. Its Chinese Center is the special agency to offer the Chinese language and culture for the students from abroad as well as for the students from Hong Kong and Macao Special Administrative Regions in China. Established in 1995 and with a fine campus environment, the Center is equipped with modern facilities and staffed by expert teachers with Chinese Mandarin. There are two semesters each year, and each semester has 18 weeks. The spring semester is from March to July, and the autumn semester is from September to January the next year.
